"Why Gender Matters" by Leonard Sax.

The most amazing book I have ever read regarding how different boys and girls are!! Honestly amazing, I have never read a book so based on facts and case studdies not just popular opinions or just opinions for that matter !!

Every person who has day to day contact with children MUST read this book!!

I have a teacher to thank for recommending this book to me, it took 2yrs for me to get it but now that I have I couldn't be more thankful!!

So my hair does seem to be lightening as I wash it:) Also this morning I was able to go and get a hair cut to..............................even out and give shape to what I had Chris start, it looks nice, Chris actually really likes it..

For me it just gives me nightmares and flashbacks to a hair cut given to me some 9ish years ago......

I think I'm going to take the bigger kids sledding somewhere this afternoon during nap time. I haven't been sledding in years. Ever since my niece had that tragic sledding accident a few years ago, I'm not a big fan!

Fashion sense

What I find so funny about these pictures, esp. the one's of the Miss is that each article of clothing IS an acceptable part of the school dress code, I'm just not sure if all together they are ;-)





Please take note of the shifty little fella in the background, he's dipping ANYTHING into his cup. Today I believe he was just dipping his hand in his milk and sucking it off... Now if you give him a straw or 6 this wont happen but I don't always remember on time........

This is me, after I had Chrs cut my hair! Granted I told him where to cut, just didn't expect it to be SO short.....
Is it the color it's suppose to be at this point in time? HECK NO! Am I going to leave it alone for a week or so? HECK YA!!



Many weeks ago there was this thing on Face book where friends put a "pay it forward" thing and the first 5 folks to comment would get a homemade gift from that person. Well I commented on one, a mom from our old school and then forgot about it. (Yes Cheryl I know I owe you something, you just need to tell me what it is you want:))
Well today she stops by the house and drops off my homemade gift! I LOVE homemade gifts... She says she's not crafty or gifted in the "homemade" dept. but as you can see she's a liar:) My new Hat
AND it matches my new jacket from Chrs.... I love it!!

So just about everyone I'm reading is talking about potty training! Well I'm NOT...

New found love

I live in a state where it snows in the winter, snows a lot!
Now with myself being sick off and on for most of the past 4months I have gotten VERY out of shape VERY quickly! (I'm sure it doesn't help that I kept my eating habits the same:))
Now for the past few weeks I've been feeling pretty good(I'm sure upping my meds helped a little too) and I've been getting back into the swing of things for myself. I'm working out again and out with the dog walking at night. Were trying to get ourselves back into running, I think we both feel a lot better when we get out... Well as you know it's winter and really no fun to go out without any GOOD traction(Frank urinated on my winter walking boots). My "play in the snow boots" really don't have much so I've been shopping around for something to put on my shoes/boots so that I can go out with confidence...


I found them and found a great deal! According to the comments and reviews these are suppose to be awesome... They came in the mail a few days ago. Last night I was able to try them out for the first time. I even wore my running shoes(just in case)...


I AM IN LOVE, this has to be the single best running/walking wintertime investment I have ever made. I ran and walked and it didn't matter if it was uphill, downhill,rounding corners, lots of snow, barely any snow, ice, slush, whatever, they hugged me to the road like it was July and a drought!!! I am so motivated to get my butt out there and get rid of these new found bulges that have rounded up all over the place... It will be no time before I'm back to what I was if not even better!!!
