THE Harvest Partay's!

Along with making the "bones" for the kid's to pass out, I volunteered to help in Isaac's room and bring the apples and dip for Norah's.

I didn't want any old dip(not my style)Instead I made this really awesome(full of healthy stuff) peanut butter dip....

THEN I started thinking about how little people tend to have nasty dirty hands and...................................



The dip is peanut butter, vanilla flavored Greek yogurt, a little honey and cinnamon... MMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMMM

OH OH OH I didn't want to cut all those apples last minute and didn't want them to brown so I tried cutting them and then "soaking" them (for a long time) in Pineapple Orange juice(that's what I had on hand)
That picture was taken 2hrs AFTER I cut them :) and this morning the 1 remaining apple stick showed just a hint of browning......... SO EXCITED BY THIS........

We got to meet Veda(sp?) who happens to be 6ish weeks old and look who couldn't stay away and had to show her his "apple tree hand".........

Inevitably I choose a treat that is the most cost effective initially but defiantly time consuming........

This year I made "Bones"

ISAAC

This is 9yr old Isaac, he weighed 73# and he was 55 1/2in's tall

This is 10yr old Isaac and he weigh's 78# and he is 58 1/4in's tall....

This YOUNG MAN sure is growing fast, TO FAST!

Baby Fix

Ari and I got to play with a 3month old baby yesterday! Can you say mmmmmmmmmmmm, how wonderful, and squishy and yummy that was!

The funniest thing was that Ari kept telling me how "she can't go in my room"! Then "She can't play with my stuff"!!

Then she came over and within 10min he whispers to me "mom, can i keep her in my room"?

AND THEN started fighting with me about wanting to take a nap with her in his bed, BUT MOM, I'M TIRED!! I need a nap, mom!! I'm sleepy too!!!

THEN she'd cry, MOM you need to get her and bring her out here, she's crying, get her!











The little dude would be a darn good big brother... OH well he'll have to settle for daddy someday :)

She's crafty

Hey hey hey, look what I made last night...
I am far from crafty and yet it would seem that the older I get the more crafty I get! I'm all about making from scratch, including my every day bread (HUGE thanks to Amy) and now I'm making other things..

It took me an hour to make it(would probably go faster with a sewing machine, just didn't want to get it out)and the "flower" options are endless.. I love it!









The best part is that it doesn't seem to be hurting my head like most headbands seem to!
I've picked out a blue,red and light purple shirt to make some more.....

Huge huge thanks to the photographer at our friends wedding this past August!

She took the time to take pictures of just about each and every couple(with and without kids) while she was there!

I HAD to purchase the picture, what an awesome reminder our first ever mom+dad+Norah only day!! It was a special day full of all sorts of fancy special things for my only daughter!!

This is the table after 4+ hours of sanding........

No there is no need to go into why it required so many hours of sanding..

Lets just say lesson learned, K? K!






This is after :) I really do love it!!

It's not perfect but neither am I......


Now that I have the correct items to refinish "properly" I am debating (and pretty sure) that I will be refinishing the chairs this week (it's in the 70's, mine as well use the nice weather for something besides yard work)

Winning the battle...............................just a few days to late.......

2nd coat of stain/poly will adhere to the table tomorrow come nap time and then (fingers crossed) hopefully Wed. I will have it in my dining room..........

p.s. OH and it's not perfect but I've lost my patience with it and will chalk it up to a learning experience............
