Busy busy busy

The school year is coming to a close(so excited) I CAN'T WAIT for a less scheduled day, CAN'T WAIT!!!

Today was Roman day for Isaac and they did a ton of "Roman" things and ate Roman type foods. It was fun.

Tomorrow is Field day for Isaac and then the much anticipated Talent Show(I hope to get good video or pictures of his turn)
Then next week we have Norah's end of year "party" and Kindergarten graduation. Isaac also has an end of year party.... So much and so little time....
So here's the picture recap of the last few days....
My brand spankin new lawn mower!! So in love!! Not only am I now VERY earth friendly but I also can mow around my kids and dogs without fear of something horrible happening AND it's not an assault on my ears, huge bonus!!
This is the problem I AM having with my mower:) He is constantly trying to take it out front to mow AND he keeps telling me it's dads! Buddy it's mine and NOT a toy, it's a machine and you must not play with it....

The other day this happened. I went outside to water my hanging baskets before going in to fold some laundry and it seems I had a change of plans when my glass table up and literally EXPLODED right behind me... Turns out broken glass in the sun sounds a lot like popcorn popping...
After school today we met up with Isaac's teacher from last year(she's in town for a little over a week)at a park/playground along with several of our friends from old school.. What fun we had with everybody and as usual Mrs. Floeter was the biggest hit... Here she's playing tag and getting Norah

Then they decided to play red rover red rover and Emma(who likes Isaac)is in blue running over :) I love how they included the little kids too...........

On the sunburn front, it's been 3 days and it's still VERY red and it feels like little needles are pricking me ALL OVER ALL THE TIME!
I'm gonna get skin cancer for sure now :(
I'M OFF to fold laundry and go to bed.......

Sorry the sunburn is still around.
Soaking in the bath tub with baking soda (?) at least I think it was baking soda. helped.

There is NO WAY IN HELL...NO WAY. that I would mow our lawn (which I just finished mowing) with that 2 butter knives with handles and a plastic shield. NO WAY.
Good luck.

We've had our glass table top break twice. Both times it was because the umbrella was in the table and the wind blew it and it tipped over and broke everywhere. ugh. such a huge mess. I'm sorry.

Cute pictures.

where in the world did you get that lawn mower? I totally want one! We never bag our clippings anyway, I let them go back into the lawn-I guess it releases nitrogen into the soil or something and is supposed to be good for it! So not paying for gas or worrying that I will flick a rock into my children's eyes would be priceless!

Karen, chicken! it's an awesome workout because you have to PUSH IT! It does however have i think 10 different setting for length..
Amy, your my kind of gal :) That is one of my biggest nightmere's and Chris doesn't get it.. This one also apparently "mulch's" your clippings. That orange part throws them in front so you keep mowing over them. I don't like that it didn't come with a basket for the backyard. I don't like little feet bringing in all sorts of grass but have decided to just rake a little bit after I'm done... Chris brought it home for me from the local Lowe's store...NOT CHEAP, but you really can't put a price on feeling safer with kids/pets and not buying gas and harming our air :)

umm ladies. if the mower is throwing the clippings back out in front of it....don't you think it could also throw a rock in your childs eye ? ha ha

I keep my children away from the lawn mower. but I've mowed lawns my whole life.....my neighbors do.....my friends and family do....and now I know you guys do.....and yet, none of them mentioned have ever taken a childs eye out or removed a toe whildst mowing the lawn.
Just sayin'

and yes. I'm chicken and I like my self propelled, mulch if you want to, lawn mower :)

Correction Karen, not SHOOT IT, like feet in front, but drop it in front of blade to be re-cut so to speak.....
