See Karen, I know you can use laundry soap if/when you may run out of dishwasher soap. I just couldn't remember if it was never the liquid or never the powder... I remembered it only the powder and when I did this (the second day in a row) I said to myself, "Well I think that may have been to much"......

Olive oil will get rid of the bubbles. One of my kids did this and the more I tried to rinse them away, the more they multiplied. It wasn't fun.

I did this when I was 14 and babysitting at a neighbors house. We didn't have a dishwasher. I had no idea there was different soap.
I'm not saying that you should have known. Just saying that I have a perfectly reasonable explanation as to why it happened to me.
